From expansive stands of saguaros to an exquisite Old Spanish mission, discover the most photogenic natural wonders and historic sights that make Southern Arizona unique. On this exciting trip we’ll explore Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument during what promises to be a brilliant spring bloom among the chiseled cliffs and unusually shaped cactus. In Tucson, a different but equally unusual cactus awaits us against the scenic backdrop of Saguaro National Park.
We’ll also encounter many of the desert's shy creatures at the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and stop to soak in the peaceful ambience of “The White Dove of the Desert,” San Xavier del Bac. After viewing some amazing original prints by Ansel Adams at the Center for Creative Photography, we’ll move on to investigate the wooded canyons and eye-catching sculpted forms found in the Dragoon Mountains.
Also beckoning will be the Willcox Playa, which is home to migratory waterfowl, sandhill cranes and stunning photographic opportunities. Our journey culminates in the rocky Chiricahua Mountains, which were shaped by an ancient volcanic eruption one thousand times more powerful than Mount St. Helen's, as we wrap up an incredible tour of Southern Arizona’s most scenic locations.
Join us for a photographic adventure at the most popular and scenic sights Southern Arizona has to offer!
